Specializing in Alzheimer’s Care & In-Home Services near Stamford & Greenwich, CT
Larry Gilmore, Owner
Larry Gilmore’s first experience with the aging population was managing a 289 unit independent living facility for seniors where he quickly grew a passion to serve. Though most of the tenants could live independently, he understood that numerous supportive services had to be provided for residents to live comfortably and independently as long as possible. He worked hard to ensure these services were best in class.
He witnessed his grandmother who raised him most of his childhood evolve from mild to more progressive stages of dementia over recent years. Like most seniors, she preferred to stay in her own home of over 40 years and did just that thanks to in-home care. Because of her challenging health, she recently transitioned to a care facility. It was emotionally challenging for the entire family.
Larry has started numerous national organizations to improve communities; he served as the President and CEO of a national initiative to assist borrowers with student loan debt, cofounded a mortgage technology to assist distressed homeowners, and was the Executive Director instrumental in developing a partnership initiative to reduce foreclosures across the country.
He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelors of Science in Community and Regional Planning and later received his Masters of Public Administration from Drake University.
Larry’s wife and children are proud residents of Fairfield County and are active in numerous civic and non-profit organizations that promote education and healthcare.
